Back-to-School Sales Seen Up, but Unemployment Hurts

KSA’s John Long projects back-to-school sales will increase partially because last year’s sales were anemic. Even retailers catering to teens may have to offer promotions to get teens to spend. “Teens will likely stick to their planned purchases. That’s not to say that there won’t be an iPad or two,” Long said.
